Abstract Landscape Workshop

This weekend I taught my first “Introduction to Abstract Landscape painting” workshop. I was so excited and very nervous, but luckily it all went swimmingly and was such a great day. It was a lovely group of 9 ladies and one gent who were all very friendly. We met in Kelston Village Hall and had coffees and pastries to start. I then gave some demonstrations and tuition in the morning after which we broke for lunch, which was a delicious spread of salads, tarts, sandwiches and cakes catered by the local Bath Cheese Company.

I was just blown away by the beautiful landscapes the group produced. Some were beginners and a few had more experience, but honestly they were all so good! It was such an enjoyable day.

Here is a video snippet from the day:

Judging from the feedback forms, everyone seemed to enjoy it and felt they had come away having learnt a lot. Hopefully some friends were made too. The next workshop will be in April (still life) and the next abstract landscape workshop will be in July. I’d love to hear your thoughts below or post some of your abstract landscape tips! Until next time!
